Cat, cat or cat is a type of carnivorous mammal, the only domesticated animal of the Snooric species, often referred to as a domestic cat to distinguish it from the rest of its family of wild cats. Cats can be either domestic cats, farm cats or wild cats, and the latter group roams freely and avoids communicating with humans. Humans prefer the company of domestic cats because of their ability to hunt rodents. About 60 cat breeds were identified through different cat records.
