Piauí Coast Breakwater
I got to know this breakwater, located on the coast of Piaui about 24 years ago. At that time I was surprised by so much work
left at random being destroyed by the action of the salt water of the sea, the strong winds of the coast. I tried to inform myself the reason
why this work was never finished, that is why this port on the coast of Piauí (City of Luís Correia). The answer
of all I asked was that there was a misuse of money to finish this work, which in my view would be of great value
to the state of Piauí. There have been governments and governments that have done nothing to finalize this port. Amazing the size of
stones brought from afar and piled up one by one, supposedly for ships to dock at the port. There are still those who say that he one day
it will be ready, bringing jobs and opening up the flow of goods and products from the state. I doubt this possibility because
the degradation due to the salty air is making the completion of this work unfeasible and expensive every day. This is the coastal breakwater
of Piauí, which only by a miracle will one day be completed.
