How Vaccine Policy Helps the Rich

The Modi government has made a course correction by deciding to
procure vaccines centrally and deciding to give free COVID-19 vaccines to
everyone above 18 years of age. However, the 25% quota for private hospitals will ensure that those who can afford to pay for their vaccines will end up getting vaccinated faster than others. It is a form of vaccine apartheid that favors the rich.
