This week we welcome Stefan and Jenny Hespeler, founders of Operation Vest and creators of the Dog Tag Run. Together this husband and wife team have set out to combat military and veteran suicide. What started as a Facebook challenge has turned into almost 1900 straight days of hammering out 22 push-ups, and the creation of their own non-profit and run event. The Dog Tag Run is a 2.2 mile run/walk, or ruck, benefiting local organizations that provide healing services to veterans and military families. Stefan and Jenny talk about the importance of giving back to the men and women that have fought, and currently fight, for this nation. We discuss the staggering suicide statistics, not only for the veteran population, but for the US as a whole. The numbers are shocking, and Stefan and Jenny live everyday spreading the message that YOU can make a difference.

There is still time to sign up for the in -person and virtual Dog Tag Run. Go to TheDogTagRun.com and sign up today for the in-person event on Saturday June 12th in Bay Shore, NY, or the virtual event running through June 20th anywhere you have an open stretch of road.
