100's of Bodies Uncovered in Canadian Residential Boarding Schools Spark Riots & Cancels Canada Day

At the Kelowna, British Columbia Indian Residential School, the remains of what appears to be 215 former students were discovered; prompting a massive investigation. A ton of this story is unknown and the total extent of the situation is to be revealed when the finding are published later this month.

First, what is a Residential School? Who ran them? How did they function? What were the conditions? We look at the Media/Government evidence and findings and try to figure it all out.

Some people are taking this as an opportunity to export racial tensions north of the border and have commenced rioting. In TORONTO of all places (across the country by the way), a statue of one of the founders of the Residential School system was toppled, vandalized, beheaded and thrown into a nearby body of water; never to be replaced. Seems like a reasonable response.

It wasn't the worst response though. The Mayor of Victoria (at least it's in the Province now), is cancelling Canada Day celebrations. Stunning and Brave.
