What do I do? Barry Lough is a pianist and singer who brings joy, rock and high-energy classics to special events in the Calgary area.

A after the working day as a successful meteorologist has ended (where Barry presents himself as an official and scientific consultant) he slips into his engaging role as an entertainer. As a natural performer with a truly impressive catalogue of musical knowledge, he rattles the keys with charming splashes and confidently brings out hits that exemplify each genre. Music in his soul (figuratively) and he generously shares with audiences of all sizes. Watch him groove, dance, sing and maybe draw inspiration to continue improving your work on your own instrument.

Over the years, music has remained a constant throughout Barry's life, and though he has built a laudable career in environmental sciences, cutting his teeth in projects of many types, his lifetime playing trumpets, percussion and piano in blues, rock and country bands has been the major contributor to the content of these videos. His varied musical tastes have even led to a vibrant career-phase as a steel drum [steelpan] player in a Calypso Steel Band.

Today, he skillfully hammered the keys with his prolific cover band at times. Audiences are often delighted to witness classic rock songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s, while Barry and the others put in an unforgettable performance. This band (Back in the Day) has become a favorite in the circuit of Calgary's bars and events. Its presence on the electric stage and its impeccable list of recognizable songs make it the backbone of the City Summer Festival, Halloween and New Year's festivals.

Barry's enthusiasm for any show is undeniable. When the COVID-19 epidemic resulted in emphasis in a solo performance, Barry enthusiastically embarked on his online show.
