The Offering of the First Fruits and the Feast of Weeks

The Feast of Weeks is the third annual biblical festival. Its timing and meaning are intimately bound up with the first fruits offerings made to God.

The feast of weeks comes at the end of a countdown of 7 weeks beginning the day after the weekly Sabbath that occurs during the festival of unleavened bread. The last day of this 7 week period is a holy day… also known as Pentecost, it is the feast of weeks Leviticus 23:15-16.

The period of counting begins with a wave offering of the first fruits of the barley harvest in the bible. The period of counting ends with a wave offering of first fruits from the wheat harvest in the bible.

These offerings of first fruits are highly significant to new covenant Christians. You owe it to yourself to learn more about the Feast of Weeks and the offering of the first fruits.
