Healthy eating is a pattern of eating that supports your best possible physical, mental and emotional health. It includes making diverse and balanced food choices that meet your needs for nutrients and energy. But it isn’t defined by a single practice or behaviour.
A healthy diet is also essential for good health and nutrition. It protects you against many chronic noncommunicable diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Eating a variety of foods and consuming less salt, sugars and saturated and industrially-produced trans-fats, are essential for healthy diet.
we need to focus on eating fresh foods that provide us with the nutrients our bodies need.
Water, carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins, and minerals are the key nutrients that make up a healthy, balanced diet.
To me, healthy eating means a good balance of ingredients and nutrients, with a large portion of vegetables.
