יוב
Job- this is the first spelling in Hebrew. It has a numeric value of 18. It means “persecuted”. This spelling is found in Genesis 46:13. Remember in Scripture, Job is mentioned 53 times. This is the only time this spelling is found.

איוב
Job- 'Iyowb {ee-yobe'} means “hated”. Throughout the rest of the scripture, this is the spelling of Job. It has a numeric value of 19. Simply notice, one letter difference. It is the Aleph.
• Aleph is a silent letter. In paleo Hebrew, it looks like an ox head. It means strong, power, leader, source.
• Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30-----28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
• What was revealed to me?
o Job was transformed and different because he was yoked together with our heavenly Father.

Where is Jesus?
Here is something else that was revealed to me. Look again at the meaning of Job. The first one is “persecuted” and the second one is “hated”. In worshipping this week, one of the preachers said something profound to me.
“Persecution CAN either keep you in His presence or keep you at a distance.”
Last week, I said the purpose of Job was to tteach us “How the righteous should suffer.” Anddddd, I still believe this. But in looking for Jesus, we will be persecuted. We will be hated.
Matthew 5:10-12
10God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
11“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.
John 15:18-25
18“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. 20Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you. 21They will do all this to you because of me, for they have rejected the one who sent me. 22They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin. 23Anyone who hates me also hates my Father. 24If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father. 25This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures: ‘They hated me without cause.’

Hidden in plain sight, the other meaning of Job is to show us as believers in Jesus Christ that we will be Jobs to the world. We will be persecuted. We will be hated. Our nation, really doesn’t understand the level of persecution the apostles spoke about. But as we journey through Job, we will see other attacks beside physical loss. Men who he thought were friends persecuted him. Supernatural forces are constantly working around us.
