In today's MedCat lesson, we cover the basic (polar) amino acids: Lysine, Arginine, and Histidine. One main takeaway: histidine is actually not positively charged at physiological pH! We also cover lysine acetylation (noting that arginine can also be acetylated). We also briefly cover the common question: is histidine aromatic? The answer is yes, but it is not commonly classified as aromatic due to its more important properties as a basic amino acid.

Time Stamps:
Lysine, Arginine, and Histidine: (0:00)
Histidine Tautomerization: (9:46)
