Tati Westbrook is a beauty influencer primarily known for her YouTube channel "Tati" which has amassed more than 8 million subscribers to date prior to Tati leaving YouTube after drama with fellow Beauty Tubers Jeffree Star & James Charles during Dramageddon 1 & 2 which eventually involved Comedy YouTuber Shane Dawson. Tati is also the owner & face of Halo Beauty (involved in another lawsuit with former business partner Clark Swanson) a hair, skin, & nails supplement brand, and Tati Beauty a makeup cosmetics company.

Without A Crystal Ball is a YouTube Channel hosted by Katie Joy Paulson focused on commentary around popular TLC reality shows such as '19 Kids and Counting' & 'Counting On' starring the Duggars, 'Sister Wives' starring Kody Brown, his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, & Robyn and their children, and 'Little People, Big World' starring the Roloffs to name a few. In addition she covers MTV Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood & Jenelle Evans Eason as well as other family vloggers such as James & Myka Stauffer and Dan & Nikki Phillippi. Recently she has been diving into commentary on fundamentalist communities as well.

This lawsuit with Tati & Katie's behavior in reaction to it added fuel to the already growing anti-Katie Joy (anti-KJ) Community containing former moderators of the Without A Crystal Ball channel and former viewers, former subscribers, & former supporters.
