Slowing Traffic Leads to Serious Collision

Info from Licensor: "On the right hand side traffic was slowing down to stare at a downed power line. The red Vauxhall Astra slowed down carefully, the red BMW 3 series braked hard, the silver Vauxhall Combi Van, and the greyish-brown Ford Focus all braked quite harshly as a result. The white Mitsubishi Fuso was following the Ford Focus too closely and could not stop in time, resulting in him hitting the Ford Focus into the Vauxhall Combi, which knocked the Combi into me. Then, trying to minimize the accident, the Fuso steered into my lane as he could not see me (I assume the lorry in front of me blocked his view until it was too late) and ended up hitting me head-on. The worst injury was a broken leg sustained by the driver of the Ford Focus, I believe the driver of the Fuso has been charged with careless driving. All vehicles except the Mitsubishi Fuso have been written off, and the road was closed for a few hours while the vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared."
