Deer and Golden Retriever Develop a Friendship

Info from Licensor: Our Golden Retriever named Sampson has a new unlikely friend. He spent the past year “guarding” the property and protecting my apple trees from being eaten by the deer. Or so I thought… Until one day his new friend decided to see what would happen if she didn’t run away. When she realized that Sampson was just excited to have a visitor they began to play together chasing each other back and forth around the yard. Now each day she waits for him to come out for a run in the morning and patiently waits for him to play after dinner time. Sometimes, they stand next to each other, other times playing hide and seek around the bushes. Just yesterday while Sampson was pooping in the yard the deer decided to join him and began peeing beside him. This is a newly formed friendship that continues to grow stronger each day.
