Birch Bay Vacation 2020 Day 1

Thanks for watching our 2020 vacation movie! Birch Bay Washington is our happy place. We've been taking summer vacations here for at least 12 years and absolutely love it. This year is a little bit challenging because of COVID, lockdowns, businesses closed, etc. but spending time together as a family is what matters.

Our neighbors Jac & Wendy were kind enough to let us borrow their kayaks (thank you so much guys!) and this is the first time we've ever tried them. This bay is just an hour south of the Canadian border and is the perfect place to learn kayaking because the water is so shallow. When the tide is just right you can wade out 500 yards and still be only waste deep in the water.
