20210606 No Interaction Required - The Daily Summation

I think there's actually a "reason" folks come to the conclusion Autistic folks require (and maybe more importantly DESIRE) no social interaction.

I think what happens is, they see the apparently aloof nature of Autistic folks, and assume it means they don't want to (or need to), have relationships of various kinds with others.

If you were a fly on the wall, when my son and I go back and forth at various times, you'd WELL UNDERSTAND, that's not reality.

Just like others, he MISSES people. Like any "socially awkward" individual, he's often just as mystified as you might be, when discussion, or other back and forth "goes sour."

He may come off as an "odd duck" (and fairly, he, like I, is such). That DOESN'T MEAN, he has no desire to play with, banter with and in his own way, enjoy the company of, others.

You'd be surprised, in fact, just how that manifests at times.

This is the subject of today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
