The set of dances we know as Texas Two Step and all the Swing Dances (including Fox Trot and Lindy Hop) evolved from Czech and German Polkas, Schotzies (Schatzis), and Brute dances. Our most popular version of swing in Texas, next to Jive, is the Texas Push (the category of swing that includes West Coast Swing and Shag).
