Biden was concerned the investigation would expose Hunter Biden's role while sitting on the board of Burisma. Biden refused to give Ukraine $1 billion in U.S. aid unless the prosecutor was fired. Biden went so far as to spread rumors the prosecutor was corrupt. Though these tapes show Poroshenko acknowledges the prosecutor was not corrupt, he fired the prosecutor to ensure Ukraine got the $1 billion of U.S. aid.

Biden used American taxpayer money in an attempt to cover up Hunter Biden's crimes.
