1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pe 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

You guys ever known anyone that you would call scatter brained, they literally can’t focus, their mind is all over the place. They talk in circles?

Verse 13 tells us to gird up the loins of your mind, gird up means to tie up so that there are no loose ends, gather up your robe so you can work or run?

To gird up your mind means to gather your thoughts and imaginations to see if they line up with scripture, no loose ends, like sexual, pride, or greed?

Verse 14 tells us that as “Children of light” our thoughts matter to God.

Verse 15 tells us to be holy in every aspect of your life that includes your thought life, just because no one can see it doesn’t mean God can’t?

The demonic host would love to control your thoughts because sin is sin?

Verse 16 tells us as Gods children we are to be holy because God is holy.

And this includes everything, every nook and cranny of your brain.

Ever fantasize about telling off or harming someone who hurt you, you go over it time and again in your head.

Sorry love your neighbor even applies to your thoughts towards others.

Sexual fantasies, sorry adultery/fornication rules apply to your thoughts also.

Ever fantasize about fame and wealth, pride and greed rules apply here too.
