The Difference Between High-Inflation & Hyper-Inflation [5/27/21]

Since the US Government took the Dollar off of the gold standard, we have relied upon the "full faith and credit" of the United States to back the value of a buck. That's a fiat currency. Currencies was and wane, and when Inflation is healthy, wages rise (and so will prices, too); but when confidence in the powers that be begins to founder, and the value of a currency comes into doubt, the result is hyper-inflation which is difficult to quash.
