Psalm 4

1 Hear me when I cry out, O God of my righteousness, in anguish you have given me breadth; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 Children of men, how long will you turn my glory into infamy? How long will you love vanity and seek lies? (Saddle.)
3 Know, then, that the Lord has set aside who is godly; the Lord will hear when I cry out to him.
4 Be upset and do not sin; speak with your heart on your bed, and be silent. (Saddle.)
5 Offer sacrifices of justice, and trust in the Lord.
6 Many say, Who will show us good? Lord, exalt the light of your face upon us.
7 You have put joy in my heart, more than in the time when wheat and wine multiplied for them.
8 In peace I will also lie down and sleep, because only you, Lord
