Signs are showing the United States is turning a major corner in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, with the daily average of new cases dropping below 30,000 for the first time in nearly a year. About 48.6% of Americans have gotten at least one dose of a vaccine, and 38.5% are fully vaccinated. NBC’s Blayne Alexander reports for Sunday TODAY.
