Meet the official Rolls-Royce of the Presidency of the Republic

The Rolls-Royce model Silver Wraith convertible was transported from London to Rio de Janeiro in 1953, to be delivered to former President Getúlio Vargas. Since then, it has been used by all presidents during the September 7 parades, in addition to other commemorative dates, such as inauguration ceremonies.

In 1960, the vehicle made its longest journey, taking then President Juscelino Kubitschek from the Palácio do Catete, in Rio, to the new capital, Brasília. In addition to the Brazilian heads of state, personalities such as Queen Elizabeth II, astronaut Yuri Gagarin and the miss universe Ieda Maria Vargas paraded.
