Is the world really this crazy?

What does that question mean to you?

Since January we have seen rapid inflation:

· Steel Up 145%
· Lumber Up 125%
· Epoxy Resin Up 60%
· Fuel Up 50%

The cost of fuel is important, that one thing just has resulted in the cost of getting anything to market to rise by 50%. Check it out the next time you’re at the grocery store.

Where are we as an industry, if you’re planning a new roof this year? Expect:
· Long Lead Times
· Rapid Material Price Inflation (Up to 300% for some materials)

Be Patient if you have a project underway, there will be delays, but it will get done.

Plan ahead, if you don’t have a project committed yet, or it may not get done this year.

We discussed a month ago that we were starting to see disruptions for roofing materials, in the meantime its’ worsened, and it appears that it will get much worse in the near term.
