My birthday was in May and in celebration I created this Birthday cake drawing. In this video I'm going to watercolor it. For the tutorial I'm using watercolor paints as well as a gel pen and black technical pen. This is a real-time tutorial where you can join me as you do your own piece. So, let's get started on bringing this cute cake to life. Feel free to put your own number and word in the tag box.

_Glass of Water
_ Mixing Palette

_ Eraser
_ Watercolor Paper – I use Canson XL 140lb / 300g
_ Watercolor Brushes – Round – 1 Small & 1 Medium
_ Black Technical Pen – Fine Tip - I use the Faber-Castel Pitt Pen - Small
_ Uni-Ball UM 153 Signo Broad Point Gel Pen

Watercolors Colors Used:

Use What You Have. For best results, use professional grade watercolors. I Used the below watercolors for this watercolor tutorial.

1. White Knights / St. Petersburg Watercolor Paints – Golden, Turquoise Blue and Quinacridone Lilac
