Dear Pastor Bob: Some inside the Christian realm teach that a believer in Christ can lose their salvation if they stop regularly attending a Church. They argue this by saying that the Bible talks about Spiritual Leadership in the Church, such as Pastors, Elders, Deacons, Bishops, etc.  They say that it would be a waste of Scripture if Christians didn’t take this seriously, and attend Church a minimum of once a week.  They also mention Hebrews 10:25 which says: “not forsaking the assembling together of ourselves as is the custom with some, but encouraging one another, and so much more as you see the Day drawing near.” These people interpret “the Day drawing near” as every Sunday, and that we should attend an organized Church at least once a week.  And if you don’t, you are in a state of self-righteousness and rebellion. Many Spiritual leaders say that if someone is a true believer and follower of Christ, they would have every desire to attend and officially join a local Church.  And if you don’t have that desire, then you are not a real Christian and on your way to hell - we can lose our salvation when we stop attending Church, and that we can regain Salvation once we begin to attend Church again. What does the Bible say?  And what do you think about these arguments?
