Thomas Paine Gets ROASTED by Richard Watson

Richard Watson (1737–1816) was an 18th Century Anglican bishop and scholar who served as the Bishop of Llandaff in the latter decades of his life. These short clips quote from a series of letters penned by Richard Watson addressing Thomas Paine (author of "Common Sense"), in response to his "Age of Reason, Part II," in which Paine argued against the credibility of the Bible and the Christian faith generally. Note that "Apology," in the title, as in the term "apologetics," refers to "defense" of the Bible, not to "apologizing" for it!
