▶ Dogs do not sweat by salivating. They sweat through the pads of their feet.

▶ They can locate the source of a sound in 6/100ths of a second, by using their swivelling ears like radar dishes.

▶ As dogs don't have fingerprints, each dog has a unique pattern on their nose. Few countries even take noseprints of dogs.

▶ They can see ultraviolet light, and don’t need a compass for direction because they can sense the earth’s magnetic fields.

▶ Dogs hate some things about humans. Some signs of affection we enjoy such as hugs or kissing can be annoying for dogs.

▸They are one of the few breeds whose tail is naturally short and either straight or screwed, and not cut or docked like with other breeds.

▸Bulldogs are considered excellent family pets because of their friendly, patient nature and ability to form strong bonds with children.
