How to make Upma❓️ 😜 | Indian Foods | Snacks | TastyFoods | Try this 😇
Upma is a common and favourite breakfast dish in South India. It is quite healthy as upma is made from roasted semolina.
Ingredients :
1 cup Semolina
3 tbsp Oil
½ tsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp Split black gram
½ tsp Asafoetida
2 Green chilies
7-8 Curry leaves
3 tbsp Peanuts
½ cup Onion
3 tbsp Green peas
1/2 cup Tomato
½ tsp Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
2 cup Boiling water
Method:
Roast 1 cup semolina in a saucepan. Let it be cooled.
In 3 tbsp oil, put ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp split black gram, and give it a tadka.
Add 1 tsp Asafoetida , 2 green chilies, 7-8 curry leaves, and the ingredients Mix 3 tbsp peanuts, ½ cup chopped onion, 3 tbsp green peas and ½ cup tomato.
Add the roasted semolina and mix the ingredients. Add to taste ½ tsp sugar and ½ tsp salt.
Pour 2 cups of boiling water, and cook for 10 minutes till the water is soaked to give it a soft texture.
