Psalm 1

1. Blessed is the man who does not follow the counsel of the wicked, does not walk the path of sinners, nor does he participate in the gathering of the insolent;
2. but, on the contrary, he turns to the Law of the Eternal and, day and night, studies it.
3. It will be like the tree planted by the stream that produces its fruit in the proper season and whose leaves never dry;
4. so everything you do will also flourish.
5. As for the wicked, they are like the hay that the wind spreads. Neither will they prevail in judgments, nor will sinners in the assembly of the righteous;
6. For the Eternal favors the way of the righteous, while that of the wicked leads them to their ruin.
