Sonic Wave Locking Surface or Longitudinal Waves 1

Surfers on surfboards go quickly towards the shore when they catch a wave that is breaking. Wave Lock is just like that except the waves don't have to be breaking.

Perhaps it is only possible because gravity keeps the boat between the crests of a wave but then again maybe that isn't necessary.

It is of course partly due to the vibration and the Stick Slip Effect that the boat moves along. But just how much?

And since water waves are surface wave types they have a higher physical crest so that seems like when the crest "moves" along it drives the boat.

But what about the sound waves? They are longitudinal wave types where the more compressed part of the wave "moves" along at the speed of sound.

The question is this: Can longitudinal sound waves in the air propel the boat?

Stay tuned:)
