LONGBOAT KEY MARATHON SWIM, SARASOTA, 11+ miles

Envisioned by Tampa Bay Marathon Swimmer Paul Valitutto (aka Paulie V), the Longboat Key Marathon Swim is the first of its kind! 8 swimmers participated, along with 8 kayakers in this inaugural swim.
This swim was quite challenging, with a mild current most of the way and a fierce challenging current on the final stretch through New Pass Channel.
