GOD LIKES HIGHWAYS, NOT CUL-DE-SACS.

Dear Pastor Bob: I have been married for almost one year now, and my wife and I sometimes struggle with theology.  It seems that we are polar opposites in that area.  She is more Charismatic, and I am more Traditional.  We knew this about each other heading into the marriage.  Sometimes, it can be a point of contention between us. We do our best to not let this divide us. But sometimes, we end up trying to prove each other wrong, and show how our understanding of the Bible is the correct understanding. We both personally feel that we can have differences in theology, but still worship the same God.  We try to focus on what we have in common, rather than what we don’t.  Some say that you must agree on theology prior to marriage, otherwise you are “unequally yoked”.  Some say this is grounds for divorce.  My wife and I are both growing Christians, and have been strong believers for over 20 years.  We both have every intention on continuing our marriage.
