Tiger saves his owner from a leopard attack (MUST WATCH!)

Turning your back on big cats like those is basically saying- go right ahead, here’s my tasty neck, dig in!
Having said that, not all big cats are equally risky. Cheetahs prefer to run their prey down, so simply presenting your neck is much less of a risk. Also adult humans are really too big for them, and not their target prey- deaths are extremely rare. Turning your back on a tame cheetah is not a big deal, but a puma would typically be a whole other thing- you’d normally be lunch.
