The art of telling a good joke is dead.

Better yet, is it better to be witty or wise or both?

When we call someone witty, we are typically chalking them up to the quality of clever humor. But this hasn’t always been the case, wit originally referred to intelligence or wisdom.

Now days the mentally capable meaning of witty has largely become out-of-date however you may hear an expression such as “out of ones wits.”

Once, I found myself out of ones wits. LOL The jabbing and witty rebuttal lead to one of those statements that crossed the line from humor to a caustic remark. The words floated out there, only when the roasted is present is it considered a roast.

All joking aside we are all standing on the ledge, tolerance is wearing thin, so why not lift someone up with a little humor. Tell a joke that puts a smile on their face.
