The mosque was built in 1917 and it became the main mosque for resident of Jasin town. Its structure was square and it is made with wood and stone while the three-tiered roof uses Maeseille tiles. The top or summit od the mosque is stone crafted. Its four main pillars are mase of bricks and are decorated with these beautiful flower tiles. Its marble floor is originally from the Sultan Deli's palace in Sumatra.

The Museum and Antiquities Department did restoration works to this mosque in 2002.
