Tony Katz Today: Politicizing COVID and The Damage Done

On This Episode:

- The CDC has changed messaging on masks. Now fully vaccinated can go without masks indoors and outdoors. President Biden says the “rule” is to get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.

- Nancy Pelosi says that Donald Trump created the crisis on the border. The border is in crisis because people were invited in.

- Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri took Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas to task over his “we are not saying, don’t come” statement on the border.

- 5 girls under the age of 7 were brought across the border and left in an open field with no food or water by whoever it was that brought them there.

- Representative Ocasio-Cortez is accusing Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

- Liz Cheney has been replaced in leadership by Elise Stefanik.

- The Israeli Defense Force and strategic deception about a ground invasion in Gaza.

- Indiana Representative Carson and the anti-Israel rally.

The Big Story:

Operation Warp Speed was a success. We had the COVID shot within a year because the Trump administration got out of the way and let the experts do the work. Continuing the vaccination distribution as it was intended was the right thing for the Biden administration to do. Trump will be blamed for the 2020 economy and Biden will take the credit for the COVID vaccine.

COVID was politicized to identify a winner and a loser. Our faith in institutions and trust in each other has been damaged over their political games.
