(Extraction) is an American action film from 2020, directed by Sam Hargrave and screenplay by Joe Russo, based on the 2014 graphic novel by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando Leon Gonzalez and Eric Skillman. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli and David Harbor. The plot follows a black operations mercenary who must rescue the kidnapped son of an Indian drug dealer in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the film was released on April 24, 2020, by Netflix. He received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the Hemsworth and Hooda exhibitions and the stunt work, but regretted the story and the excessive violence.
