Teiú lizard cub

Unlike most reptiles, teiús have parental care for their young and usually keep their eggs in burrows or termites. Between 12 and 35 eggs are placed protected by the female until they hatch, a period that lasts about 90 days. The puppies are born with a greenish tone that changes over time.
