The video shows that warming does not happen across the planet at the same time. This is due to the weather phenomena El Niño and La Niña. While El Niño causes the warming of surface waters in the Pacific Ocean, La Niña generates cooling in the same region. Both can affect wind patterns and rainfall patterns.
