In The Bodyguard, Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner), a highly efficient and expensive bodyguard, is hired to protect Rachel Marron (Whitney Houston), a great singer and actress, who is receiving anonymous and threatening letters. Frank is a former Secret Service agent who has not yet forgiven himself for feeling guilty about his inability to protect President Reagan, who was nearly assassinated by John Hinckley.
