In each pregnancy, the same rabbit can have very different litters, as they can be composed of 1 to 5 puppies. However, incredibly numerous litters, of up to 15 puppies, have already been registered.

It is also worth noting that in some breeds, especially in medium-sized breeds, it is common for litters to have between 5 and 8 rabbit pups per birth. What usually happens is that the bigger the litter, the higher the mortality rate among the offspring. Many of the baby rabbits practically die at birth.
