An electric off-road ride on the Moon in 1971

The vehicle was first used on the Apollo 15 mission, which was the fourth landing of the Apollo mission on the moon. The vehicle was used to explore regions about 5 km from the landing site. Subsequently, the vehicle was also used in the Apollo 16 and Apollo 17 missions. All prototypes taken to the Moon were left there, at the end of each mission.
