Blue Mountain Cigars Anniversario Cigar Review

This 5x50 robusto sized cigar features a dual wrapper, the first half a smooth soft tan connecticut, the upper a dark chocolate, toothy oily maduro, both with a firm even pack and very rich hay and barnyard aroma. First light reveals a snug draw putting off a decent amount of smoke but it's very dense with medium-full body flavors of a big creamy smooth and oily sweet wood with a long finish of the same. The first third drops the sweetness, going to a combination of a grassy and burned coffee draw, to a smooth oily wood on the finish. Draw opened up to perfect, producing plenty of smooth smoke. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way and band transition point, the cigar completely changes to a caramel, tobacco and pepper on the draw with smooth deep tobacco, pepper and spice through the long finish. Ending at 50 minutes where it got too hot for my taste, the last bit shifted flavors a touch, just dropping the caramel sweetness on the draw allowing the wood to come up, mixing well with the tobacco pepper and spice.
