Backroad Driving North Bend Washington pt 6

Taking a side road out of the snow a bit up to the back side of the Snoqualmie pass Ski area. I make it most of the way before it gets too dark. This is a Beautiful dense wooded area, the trees full of moss and kind of creepy looking. The road turns into a trail with significant pot holes, washouts and deep gullies for the spring snow runoff.Show more

This is part of the Mt. Baker National forest in Snoqualmie. We’re driving by the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. It’s about a 16 mile road, you follow the same road in as you do out. About 10 miles the road turns into a very rough road that you’d need 4 wheel drive to traverse parts of. Large washouts, and running streams crossing the road make it all the more fun to explore. The green moss growing on every tree around lays testament to why people call Seattle “rain city” or the “Emerald city”
