This 5x50 stick features a dark chocolate dry satin finished wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, firm but light pack and a pungent musty paint aroma. First light reveals a mild body on the draw however it ramps up to medium by the end of the finish. Flavors are a plum, dry earthiness and zing pepper. The first third develops to interesting flavors that remain the same on the draw and the long finish. It's a mix of a metallic zing almost like blood and a thick meaty component. It has a pepper and spice kick but also a complex sweetness at the tail end. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the construction is flawless holding the ash in a solid chunk while the body pushes to a medium-full completely shifting flavors again. It's a complex blend of a french vanilla and smooth thick earth without and of the harsh deep notes typically in an earthy stick. The finish is dropping most of the pepper and spice just lingering the softer notes. Ending at 50 minutes the last third holds the same flavors but brings the body down to a softer mild-medium once again.
