Brittney's NBC 26 weather forecast

Showers expected this morning, with chances for storms returning this afternoon and rolling eastward through this evening. They will pack some much needed rain, of a quarter inch to a half inch. But it is much needed, as we are still under some drought conditions. Highs today will be much cooler, below average, in the 50s with northeast winds at 5-10 mph. Mostly cloudy skies will cover us Tuesday, with highs in the mid 50s. Upper 50s are back Wednesday with mostly sunny skies for our midweek. While we started off May feeling like the middle of summer, it will be cooler for the foreseeable future. The outlooks for the beginning of May is calling for cooler than normal temperatures.
