If you're obsessed with scented candles and air fresheners, then you will love these easy-to-make DIY Room Diffusers! Store-bought scents are often overpowering, but these homemade diffusers add just the right amount of fragrance that's light and fresh - never overwhelming. Also, making your own means you have complete control over the scent, so you always get what you want! These Room Diffusers are perfect for any room where you want to add some nice fresh fragrances. We used a mixture of lavender, peppermint and chamomile essential oils in ours, but you can choose whichever scents you prefer. Jasmine, ginger, cinnamon, orange and rosemary are all very pleasing options! If you're using paper straws (like we did) make sure to keep the diffusers away from children, or anyone who might be tempted to drink it. Enjoy!

Materials Needed:

- Paper straws or bamboo skewers
- Essential oils (we used lavender, peppermint and chamomile)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1/3 cup mineral oil
- Vase, jar or similar container

Directions:

Combine the oil, water, and vodka in a small jar. Select the essential oils you'd like to use. You can use just one oil, or a combo of various oils. Add 30-40 drops of essential oil to the mixture. Place the lid on the jar and shake to combine all ingredients. The vodka works as an emulsifier, allowing the oil and water to mix evenly. The oil will keep the other ingredients from evaporating too quickly. Pour the contents of the jar into your container (we used vases, but you could also use a Mason Jar). Add the reeds or straws to the vase and your new diffuser is good to go!
