After tying the record high temperatures Saturday of 88° in Milwaukee (previously set in 1992) and having gusty winds, with our strongest gust at Milwaukee Mitchell reported at 49 mph, temperatures will be a bit cooler and winds a bit lighter Sunday. Sunday started off mild, with lows in the 60s. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon with mostly sunny skies. Winds will still be gusty and out of the southwest 10-15 mph, with gusts 30 mph. The fire danger level remains very high to extreme across the area. Be cautious and follow burn restrictions in your area. As our next storm moves in showers will develop late Sunday, especially north towards Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties. We'll have a few showers Sunday night through Monday morning, before showers pick up Monday late afternoon. We'll also have a chance for a few thunderstorms mixed in. Temperatures will be cooler Monday and in the mid 60s. Winds will be lighter, temperatures will be cooler, and skies will be partly sunny Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be near 60 degrees with lows in the low 40s.
