Day of Texas May Election Day

With Election Day on Saturday, voters face a host of choices for the Dallas City Council.

Fourteen of 15 seats are up for election this year. Fifty-six candidates have filed to run against 11 incumbents, and three seats are up for grabs.

City Council members are elected for two years, and seats in Districts 2, 11 and 13 are open because the incumbents have reached term limits, making them ineligible to run this cycle.
