AJ Fernandez Last Call Cigar Review

This 4.5x48 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a slick buttery soft feel, triple cap, closed foot and pungent barnyard aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with plumes of medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of an oily, peppery deep earth and straight tobacco with a zingy cayenne on the long finish. The first third burns perfectly but quickly with the profile staying very plain with an oily and rough deep earth mixing with a big black pepper while the spice drops from the finish. It's not harsh but certainly not anything I would call smooth. The 1/2 way comes at 25 min dropping the ash in a solid chunk. Flavors shift to a dry roasted peanut on the draw while the finish gets a ting bit smoother with just a lighter earth and dwindling pepper holding to the next draw. It's obviously a short stick and the burn time reflects that, ending at 45 minutes while the last third shows no further changes.
